Muzaffarpur Victim dies in Patna who was set on fire for resisting rape attempt

In a horrifying turn of events, a woman who is in her late 20's lost her life battling for life in Muzaffarpur of Bihar. She was set ablaze earlier this month and developed more than 95 percent of burn injuries. Later she was rushed to Apollo Burn Hospital in the city.
The brother-in-law of the victim said she died around 11:40 pm on Monday.
Going back into the details, the victim was set on fire by accused Raja Rai, land broker Raj Kishor Rai's son has poured kerosene on her after she resisted rape attempt on December 7. Soon after the incident took place the accused and his accomplice Mukesh Kumar was arrested.
The family of the victim demanded Chief Minister Nitish Kumar assure justice before she is cremated. "We want the chief minister to come and assure us of justice in the case," said her brother-in-law.
The FIR filed at the Ahiyapur Police Station in Muzaffarpur states that the victim was with her niece and nephew who are minors in her house when this horrific incident took place. The accused who is also her neighbor and Kumar bulldoze and tried to sexually assault her. With the victim resisting their attempt Rai and Kumar have set her on fire by pouring kerosene.
