My Tweet Was Not Aimed At Gavaskar: Ambati Rayudu!
By: Tupaki Desk | 29 April 2023 10:04 PM ISTSo much happening around Telugu cricketer Ambati Rayudu and the tweets he has been making. A few tweets he made started a debate on whether he is inclined towards the ruling party in Andhra Pradesh. Yet again his tweet raised many eyeballs and many felt that he might have targeted a veteran player in his tweet.
Amid the doubts, Ambati Rayudu said that there is no truth that he tweeted against the player and called the opinion nonsense. Saying that what the former player said is respected in all regards, Ambabti Rayudu said that what people are thinking is not right.
The Chennai Super Kings team which is high on confidence with back-to-back wins in IPL faced a big blow after the Rajasthan Royals crushed it. In a high-scoring match, CSK was defeated by 32 runs. CSK could not recover from the loss of losing early wickets.
"You got to field. You can't just come out to bat and start hitting the ball. You can't do that. We have seen that with Prithvi Shaw. He has just been coming out to bat without success," Gavaskar said who was present in the commentary box.
After the match defeat, Ambati Rayudu tweeted saying that ups and downs are common in sports and life and the results cannot measure our efforts so we have to work hard. His tweet made many think that he might have made this to target the veteran Indian player.
But Ambati Rayudu rubbished this and said that his tweet was not against the veteran player. Calling Sunil Gavaskar great, the talented player said that he will respect what the player said. However, he said that the player cannot decide whether to be a part of the field or miss it on his own.
"What nonsense⦠my tweet has nothing to do with the great mr Gavaskars comments.. his opinions are well respected and in regards to my fielding. A player doesn't decide if he wants to field or not," Ambati Rayudu said in his tweet.
Talking about the match result, the Rajasthan Royals team posted a big target in front of the Chennai Super Kings team. 203 was the target for CSK. However, the team was restricted to just 170 runs, and the RR team won the match by 32 runs.
