In a shocking development, A priest from Mysore Maharaja Palace committed suicide at Irangal in Kurnool district.

Priest Balasubramanyam choose a deserted place to set himself ablaze with petrol. He was taken to the Government hospital in Adoni with severe burns. On Thursday evening, He breathed his last.

Balasubramanyam's Family told that the 54-Year-Old committed suicide due to poor health. His Wife Sri Lakshmi revealed, 'Balasubramanyam was suffering from diabetes and hyper-tension. He told us that he was going to Mantralayam for the darshan of Guru Raghavendra Swamy'.

After boarding Basava Express, Balasubramanyam got down at Irongal railway station. Thereafter, He attempted suicide. Cops registered a case and investigation is under progress.

Balasubramanyam is one among the priests who performed the marriage rituals of Mysore Maharaja Yaduveer Krishnadatta Chamaraja Wadiyar on june 27th. After the death of Maharaja Srikantadatta Wadeyar on Dec 10th, 2013, His Wodow adopted Yaduveer as his successor. Mysore Maharaja Yaduveer Krishnadatta Chamaraja Wadiyar tied the nuptial knot with Trishika Kumari Singh, a girl from royal family, at Mysore palace on Monday.
