The rise in cost of production and the low ticket prices in AP have been incurring losses to the producers. Even though the government recently hiked the price of tickets in A-centres from 55 to 75, Some of the Tollywood folks have been demanding the government to increase further.

Akkineni Nagarjuna isn't just a hero but also a successful businessman who always wishes to be in a profit zone. Comparing the ticket prices with the current price of Onions, King expressed his dissatisfaction. "Today, I kg Onions cost Rs 80. But there is not much improvement in the price of tickets. How could we sell the tickets for such a low price at the time when making costs are very high?," he questions.

The major worry for Nag is that none of his recent films have been able to do good business at the Box Office due to the escalating budgets. He feels the hike in ticket prices is the only solution to fight his inability to draw more number of audience to the theatres.
