Chief Ministers of Telangana and Andhra Pradesh seems to competing in purchasing brand new helicopter's for their convenience instead of development of the states.
K Chandrasekhar Rao has directed Chief Secretary Rajic Sharma to identify a new twin-engine helicopter which could be useful for him and the other VVIPs. Telangana Government will be soon inviting quotations from firms for the new multi-turbine helicopter.
Even Chandrababu Naidu has decided to purchase a new helicopter for his tours. He has ordered the officials to identify a suitable helicopter.
Currently, Both the CMs have been using private helicopters on hire for official purposes. The two helicopters in United AP have met with an accident. While Bell 430 carrying YSR crashed in 2009, Agusta Westland met with fire accident in 2012.
