Senior Actor offers Financial Help to 300 Widows

Till date, He spent his hard-earned money and also collected donations from across the World to offer financial assistance to 300 farmer suicide widows.
The other day, Nana Patekar who was clad in a kurta-pyjama offered cheques worth Rs 15,000 to the farmer suicide widows. Guess, How this acclaimed actor is spending his weekends? He made it a habit to visit areas like Marathwada & Vidarbha where more farmer suicides occur.
Stating that suicide is no solution for the problems, The 64-Year-Old Actor urges farmers not to take such extreme steps. "I can't sit at home seeing farmers die. Imagine, How it feels watching a 100 young widows waiting to receive these cheques. There is no bigger shame than this!," he told.
Nana Patekar appealed BJP, Congress and NCP to join hands for saving the dying farmers. He hints there might be farmers revolution if the situation doesn't improve. "If farmers can kill themselves, they could kill others too and this thought process will eventually turn them into naxals," he warned, apart from blaming media for too much focus on Indrani Mukherjea's murder story rather than highlighting the plight of farmers.
