Kalyan Ram delivered a streak of flops in his career both as an actor and producer. Out of five films produced by him, Only one of them had hit the bull's eye and the rest have bitten dust. Films like Hare Ram, Jayeebhava, Kathi and OM 3D which were produced on his home banner NTR Arts couldn't live up to the standards set by Athanokkade. In fact, Our Nandamuri hero lost over Rs 15 crore on OM 3D alone and the disastrous result forced him to scout other ways for recovering the money that's been lost.
Its only then the idea of producing films with other heroes in the lead roles came to his mind. He shared this plan with his first hit director Surender Reddy who is thinking on teaming up with Raviteja for Kick 2. With the filmmaker reacting positively to the idea, Kalyan Ram had a smooth sailing until now and he is already into the pre-production work.
May be, this is the final attempt of Kalyan Ram to make money for standing as a producer. The actor is yet to confirm if his acting dreams were ended with OM or he would give it a try again.
