Nandi Awards function: All eyes on One Man!
By: Tupaki Desk | 11 April 2013 1:27 PM GMTEveryone is waiting with baited breath to know if revolutionary Telugu balladeer Gaddar would turn up to receive the Best Singer Award at the Nandi Awards ceremony on Thursday.
State Government has decided to present the Nandi Award for the year 2011 at Telugu Lalitha Kala Thoranam on the auspicious day of Ugadi. Chief minister Kiran Kumar Reddy will present this award.
Gaddar bagged the award for 'Podusthunna Poddumeeda' song for the flick 'Jai Bolo Telangana' which is based on the Telangana movement.
"What difference it would make to the Telangana struggle, if I accept this award. Of course, the awards presented by State Government has been regarded as the highest honour. I will take a decision based on my conscience," told Gaddar, not ruling out the chances of gracing the ceremony completely.
Some say, Gaddar's presence might even overshadow the biggies like Amitabh Bachchan (NTR National Award) and Mahesh Babu (Best Actor - Dookudu) at the awards night.
