Polling of the crucial Nandyal by-election kickstarted at 7 AM on Wednesday. Election Commission will be allowing People who stand in the queue before 6 PM to cast their vote.
Altogether, There are 2,18,858 voters in Nandyal Assembly Constituency. Though 15 Candidates are in fray, The contest in mainly between TDP Candidate Bhuma Brahmananda Reddy and Shilpa Mohan Reddy. 255 Polling Stations have been established.
Central Forces and Police Personnel have been deployed in big numbers at sensitive areas for free and fair election. So far, The polling has been peaceful all over the constituency.
For the first time, VVPAT EVMs have been used in Nandyal by-poll. Voters could be able to see for whom they have voted for 7 seconds. Only the person who voted can witness it.
