By: Tupaki Desk | 9 July 2018 1:20 PM GMTCount on Lokesh for committing follies and gaffes. Known for his foot-in-the-mouth comments, Lokesh has done it again on Monday.
During the Kurnool tour, Lokesh has announced the TDP candidates for Kurnool Lok sabha constituency and for the assembly seats. He announced the name of Butta Renuka for MP's seat. Now, this has left the party shell-shocked. Firstly, if an announcement has to come, it has to come from either Chandrababu Naidu, who is the national party chief or Kimidi Kala Venkat Rao, who is the president of the AP Unit. But, the announcement came from Lokesh. In what capacity, ask the shocked the party workers.
They are upset that a rank outsider and a defector like Butta Renuka getting the MP ticket would be an insult to the hardworking and loyal party cadre. The party seniors from the district are also unhappy that the announcement has come a full one year before the elections. Why this hurry, they ask.
Meanwhile, Bhimili MLA and minister Ganta Srinivasa Rao is also reportedly upset with Lokesh as he believes that he is behind the campaign that Ganta might lose from Bhimili. Many party leaders feel that Lokesh Babu's over enthusiasm could prove counter-productive.
