Nara Lokesh's Crazy Analysis on how Sawang lost DGP Post!
By: Tupaki Desk | 23 May 2022 10:48 AM GMTSenior IPS Officer Damodar Gautam Sawang, popularly known as Gautam Sawang was allocated to Andhra Pradesh after the state bifurcation. Sawang was given the key DG, Vigilance, and Enforcement position by the previous government. The current Andhra Pradesh government made him the Director-General of Police.
However, Sawang's post lasted less than three years with the government ordering for a change in his position. The news came as a big surprise as there were no reports or information on this before. All of a sudden, he was removed and was made the Andhra Pradesh Public Service Commission (APPSC) Chairman.
Despite no information on the reason behind the big development, many felt that the Andhra Pradesh government might have taken the key decision as it was not happy with the Police on the Chalo Vijayawada protest, which became a big hit and attracted a wide range of attention from the national media as well.
Giving the Sawang DGP Post Row a big twist, TDP General Secretary Nara Lokesh came up with an interesting analysis of what went through the development. According to Lokesh, Sawanag burning the drugs seized after busting various rackets did not go well with the government and he had to lose his job.
Nara Lokesh went on to say that the Police Department burning the drugs in big quantities under Sawang's direction did not please the Chief Minister. He even highlighted how drug rackets that have roots in Andhra Pradesh were busted in other states.
