Will ESL Narasimhan Be Shifted To J&K?

All eyes are now on who would be the next Lieutenant Governor for the newly carved out Union Territory of Jammu and Kashmir. Indications are that given the sensitive nature of the area and the terrorist and secessionist issued involved, the next lieutenant Governor would be an experienced intelligence official with a command over strategic affairs. Given the sensitive location of the region, the Government would want to have someone who could understand the strategic sensitivities of the region and also the great game of the international forces in the region.
If sources are to be believed, the NDA government has already drawn up a list of retired intelligence officials who could be drafted to work as LG of J&K. He would also be provided with a committed group of intelligence officials.
According to highly placed sources even Telangana governor ESL Narasimhan, who is very close to National Security Advisor Ajit Doval, also figures in the list. He is an experienced intelligence hand and had headed the IB. He is an expert in counter-intel operations and had also served as the governor of Chhattisgarh before becoming AP governor. The only aspect under consideration is whether ESL, who had been a governor for over 12 years, will agree to become a Lieutenant Governor, which is a notch lower than the Governor's position.
