Prime Minister Narendra Modi preferred contesting from Varanasi in UP and Vadodara in Gujarat during 2014 Elections. For 2019 Lok Sabha Polls, He might prefer contesting from one of the constituencies down South apart from a Lok Sabha segment in Uttar Pradesh.
In 2014, BJP won maximum number of Lok Sabha seats in North India. In the next elections, It's likely to lose not less than 50 seats in this part of the country. To compensate it, BJP is focusing on improving its tally in South India where it has got only little presence.
