Prime Minister Narendra Modi clarified he doesn't have a fashion designer as speculated by a section of media.
During a face-to-face interaction on the even of Teacher's Day, School Children appreciated Prime Minister's unique sense of dressing and asked if he had a designer. In response, Modi told: "It's just a rumour. I don't have a fashion designer. Usually, I try to dress as simple as possible".
When quizzed about his signature short-sleeved Kurta which has been very popular, Narendra Modi explained he preferred short-sleeved kurtas as full-sleeved kurtas take more time to clean. "I come from a humble background...wash my clothes on my own. So, I used to cut off the sleeves and make it a sleeveless kurta to save time. I used to iron my kurta with charcoal in a pot and used chalk peaces in the school to whiten my shoes," he reveals.
