Remember how TRS boss KCR won from Gajwel in 2014. Barely a few days before the polling, KCR managed a coup of sorts by bringing TDP candidate T Narsi Reddy into the TRS. With Narsi Reddy on stage with KCR, there was confusion in the opposition ranks and KCR managed to win by just 16000 votes, a margin considered far too less compared to Harish Rao's.
Later, Narsi Reddy was richly rewarded for his floor-crossing at the last moment and causing confusion in the Opposition ranks. But, this time around, Narsi Reddy, who then gave a shock to the Opposition, might administer a shock to Chandrababu himself. Narsi Reddy is all set to join the Congress this time. He had met Congress Party's star campaigner Vijayasanthi on Wednesday along with Congress candidate Vanteru Pratap Reddy. He might soon join the Congress in the presence of Rahul Gandhi. If this happens it would be a big jolt to the TRS in general and KCR in particular.
If this happens, KCR would be forced to focus on Gajwel to ensure his own victory. He would be forced to spend more time in Gajwel. If the sources from Gajwel are to be believed, KCR is actually fighting with his back to the wal. He has done nothing for Gajwel and except for the area in and around his farm house in Errabelli, the constituency has not seen much development. So, there is some amount of discontent in Gajwel. Narsi Reddy's resignation might actually help the anti-TRS voters to regroup and put up a tough fight.
