Kamal, Naseeruddin...Islam Agents: Union Minister
By: Tupaki Desk | 19 Feb 2019 1:06 PM GMTUnion Minister Giriraj Singh accused Kamal Haasan and Naseeruddin Shah of attempting to Islamise India. He told, 'Campaign named 'Ghazwa-e-Hind', which means Islamikaran of India, gained momentum after Pulwama Terror Attack. Unfortunately, Kamal and Naseeruddin has become agents of those who talk about 'Ghazwa-e-Hind''.
Comments made by Giriraj Singh are in response to the controversial remarks made by Naseeruddin Shah on mob lynching and Kamal Haasan on Kashmir Issue. Naseeruddin Shah alleged innocents are being targeted in the name of religion and those fighting against injustice were facing raids.
Post Pulwama Attack, Kamal Haasan questioned why an opinion poll wasn't sought in Kashmir to resolve the issue between the two nations. Following the backlash, He clarified, 'Opinion Poll isn't relevant anymore. I had made that comment in the context of an article penned by him for a magazine'.
It's unfair on part of Giriraj Singh to allege Kamal Haasan and Naseeruddin Shah are Islam Agents. This seems to be continuation of BJP-mark campaign branding all those who differ with its policies as anti-nationals.
