National Level Leader Now Busy With Municipal Politics

He was so cocksure of his constituency and his people that he had never personally filed his nomination papers. He used to visit his constituency only on a thanks-giving visit after he posted a massive victory. Such a leader has now hit the streets and is covering every nook and corner of his home turf even before the elections to a lowly municipality were announced.
The constituency in question is Kuppam and the leader is none other than Chandrababu Naidu. Chandrababu has now hit the streets to campaign for the TDP in the upcoming Kuppam municipality elections. He is doing this after the party performed dismally in panchayat and the local body elections. In Two mandals , the party could not win even a single MPTC. So, to arrest the downward trend, Chandrababu himself has stepped in.
On Friday, he conducted a road show in Kuppam and addressed a public meeting in RTC busstand crossroads. This is his second intensive yatra in Kuppam constituency in just 30 days. In the earlier yatra, he covered the constituency for three days. This time, he would be in Kuppam for a total of four days.
Interestingly, the election notification has not yet been issued for Kuppam municipality. Yet, Chandrababu has become active mainly to ensure that his home turn does not fall into the YSRCP kitty. In a way, the YSRCP has managed to pin down Chandrababu and reduce him to a local level leader.
