Money and position rule everything and this is the popular proverb. This was proven many times. This proverb is not just relevant in society, but in prisons as well. The Jail system always faces criticism for giving special facilities and luxuries to high-profile inmates like Sasikala.
Raising the question of more facilities for big people in prisons, former Cricketer and Congress leader Navjot Singh Sidhu reportedly sought a special diet for him as he is having a medical issue and he cannot have the food which is served to him inside the prison.
To see if Navjot Singh Sidhu has such a medical condition or not, he was reportedly taken to the hospital facilities for medical tests. After the doctors examine him and pace him under the tests, they will decide if he wants a special diet or not.
Having health issues is not in their hands. But every inmate who suffers such things has to be given that facility to get the medical facility. Most of the time, the inmates were not given such a facility and they had to take the food they were given.
On the flipside, financially sound people will get extra benefits which were proved every time. If we look at the examples of Sasikala, former Bihar Chief Minister Lalu Prasad Yadav, there are strong allegations that they were given VIP treatment compared to others.
