By: Tupaki Desk | 21 Nov 2019 12:46 PM GMTCongress and NCP have completed their discussion on all issues related to government formation in Maharashtra The parties will now meet Shiv Sena tomorrow to give final shape to the alliance.
Congress' leader Prithviraj Chavan said the meeting with NCP has been concluded and there is "complete unanimity" between the parties on issues. The party will hold discussions with Shiv Sena later in the day, Chavan said.
Maharashtra came under President's Rule after all the parties failed to form a government in the state. The BJP, which emerged as the single largest party, could not stake claim to form a government as its ally Shiv Sena remained firm on 50:50 equal sharing formula. The BJP won 105 seats in the 288-member assembly followed by Shiv Sena 56, NCP 54 and Congress 44.
The three parties are then likely to send separate letters to the Maharashtra governor mentioning their decision to come together to form a govt.
