Days after former Maharashtra Chief Minister Devendra Fadnavis said Karachi will be part of India one day, Nationalist Congress Party (NCP) leader and Maharashtra Minister Nawab Malik took a serious potshot on his claims.

Nawab Malik who addressed the media on Fadnavis's comments said, the NCP will welcome the decision of BJP to make Karachi a port of India. He said India, Pakistan, and Bangladesh should be merged as one.

The Minister's reaction came as a response to Devendra Fadnavis's comments on Karachi becoming part of India one day as part of Akhand Bharat.

The term 'Akhand Bharat' has been making headlines since 2015 after the BJP led by Prime Minister Narendra Modi made it to the government. Akhand Bharat translates to undivided Bharat.

Fadnavis made comments on merging Karachi into India came days ahead of the Mumbai terror attacks, On 26 Nov 2008, a series of bomb blasts created panic in the financial capital Mumbai.

The Karachi comments gained significance as recently, a person who is believed to a leader of Shiv Sena asked the owner of Karachi bakery and sweets in Mumbai to change the shop name.

In the viral video, the leader can be heard asking the shop owner to remove Karachi from the shop name as many terrorists live in Karachi.
