Kids, Don't Take Up Sports: Neesham After WC Heartbreak
By: Tupaki Desk | 15 July 2019 11:11 AM GMTWhich New Zealander could have anticipated there country will be on the losing side after the 2019 World Cup final inspite of a tie in 100 Overs Match and Super Over. That's how ridiculous the ICC Rule (Team scoring most boundaries in their innings will be the winner) has been like!
Former Cricketers Yuvraj Singh, Brett Lee and Sanjay Manjrekar came down heavily on the ICC for having such a rule to decide the winner of the World Cup. After the World Cup heart-break, New Zealand Cricketer Jimmy Neesham advised kids not to take up sports. He suggested them to prefer baking or something else instead of sports to die at 60 really fat and happy.
In an another Tweet, The All-Rounder wrote: 'That hurts. Hopefully there's a day or two over the next decade where I don't think about that last half hour. Congratulations England, well deserved. Thank you to all the supporters that came out Today. We could hear you the whole way. Sorry, We couldn't deliver what you so badly wanted'.
Everyone in the World could feel the pain in the words of Jimmy Neesham. Not just him, All of his Teammates and Every New Zealand Citizen was left devastated. New Zealand Team has given everything they could to win the World Cup but all they didn't have was a bit of luck.
Jimmy Neesham was the one who scored most runs for New Zealand in the Super Over. Had if his Partner Martin Guptill completed the second run in the final ball successfully, It could have been a different story altogether.
