Nellore MLA visits Amaravati yatris: Shocks TDP, surprises YSRCP
X
The Amaravati padayatris, who have been staunchly opposing YS Jagan Mohan Reddy's proposal to have three capitals and are rooting only for Amaravati, were in for a pleasant surprise the other day when Nellore rural MLA and senior YSRCP leader Kotamreddy Sridhar Reddy walked into their camp. Reddy not only greeted all the yatris warmly but also enquired about their health.

Speaking to the surprised yatris, he said that as long as they were in Nellore district, they were his guests. He enquired about the facilities provided to them and asked if they needed something. He then gave his phone number to the yatris and told them to call him up in case of any emergency. He also wished them well in their endeavour.

He, however, told them that he would abide by his party's decision and that he was all for three capitals. But, despite the political differences, he wanted their yatra to be a success. He said that in case of any rain-related problem, the yatris could always contact him.

However, not all took the YSRCP MLA's visit to the Amaravati yatra camp. Some YSRCP leaders reportedly called up Sridhar Reddy and enquired about his visit. Some leaders from Nellore, who are opposed to Kotamreddy, reportedly took the matter to YS Jagan Mohan Reddy. However, Kotamreddy is said to have told the detractors that his visit has no political overtones. It was a humanitarian visit and nothing more should be seen into it.
