AP Reported 998 Fresh Cases In 24 Hours

The Positive cases continue to surge in Andhra Pradesh as 998 fresh cases were reported in the past 24 hours. With this, the total toll of the infections in the state zoomed to 18,697.
Going by the information provided by the health bulletin, 20,567 samples were tested in the past 24 hours and 998 people were found positive for the contagious virus. With 14 fresh casualties, the total fatalities in the state increased to 232.
Out of the 998 new cases reported, 961 cases were of locals, while 30 Returnees from other states and one Foreign Returnee tested positive. This marks the highest surge of single-day cases.
On the other hand, in the last 24 hours, 391 patients managed to recover from the virus and got discharged from the hospitals accordingly, taking the total count of the recoveries to 8,422 and the active cases stood at 10,043.
