Andhra Pradesh: Fresh Corona Infections Saw A Massive Dip

In a piece of good news, Andhra Pradesh reported the lowest fresh cases since August. The state which has been reporting over 7,000 cases for a few days, added nearly 7k cases.
In the last 24 hours, 76,416 swab samples were tested for the virus and 6,923 patients were found positive for the virus. So far, a total of 6,75,674 patients have been infected with the virus.
On the other hand, the fresh recoveries too decreased rapidly in the last 24 hours. With 7,796 patients beating the virus in the span of 24 hours, total recoveries pass surged 6 lakh-mark with 6,05,090. There are 64,876 active cases in the state.
On a brighter note, fresh casualties have also decreased further as 45 people succumbed to the virus on Sunday taking the total casualties to 5,708. On Saturday, 57 patients lost their lives.
East Godavari region continues to fear the ongoing pandemic as the district has been adding over 1,000 fresh cases for a quiet time. East Godavari has 94,190 infections followed by West Godavari(64,433).
