Telangana Districts count goes up to 24

Its almost official that Telangana will have altogether 24 Districts very soon with the creation of 14 new Districts. Here is the list of decision taken by CM KCR in the Review Meeting...

Hyderabad & Ranga Reddy comprise of Two Districts each. While Secunderabad in Hyd becomes New District, Vikarabad in RR gets a District status.

Yadadri District will be created from Khammam District & Kothagudem will be its head quarters.

Machiryala in Adilabad District will be made Komaram Bheem District

Bhupalapally in Waragal District becomes Acharya Jayashankar District

Instead of Janagama, Mahabubnagar will be converted into another District in Warangal.

Suryapet in Nalgonda District will be converted into a District.

Siddhipet and Sangareddy in Medak to be made new Districts

Kamareddy in Nizamabad & Jagithala in Karimnagar to become Districts.

Officials, however, didn't favor the conversion of Gadwal in Mahabubnagar district into a new district. Instead, Vanaparthy & Nagar Kurnool would be made new Districts.
