New Producers for Zanjeer

The latest buzz is that Ram Charan's maiden Bollywood project 'Zanjeer' is going to have new producers. Let's see how this happenedÂ…
Actually, Amit Mehra ('Zanjeer' remake producer) is the son of Producer Prakash Mehra who is behind 1973 blockbuster 'Zanjeer' which stars Amitabh Bachchan in the lead. It is learnt that Amit Mehra signed a deal with his two brother Sumeet Mehra and Puneet Mehra to acquire the remake rights of the project. However, Amit failed to clear the dues he has to pay for the two and the contract has been terminated. Later, both Sumeet and Punnet decided to proceed legally and obtained a stay order on the release of the remake.
As the situation is going out of control, Amit Mehra has come forward to settle the issue and he offered a share in 'Zanjeer' to his two brothers. In that way, two new producers have joined the 'Zanjeer 2.0' team to share the profits of this big ticket entertainer. This is a good sign for the team of Zanjeer and Ram Charan in particular. We will be seeing Mega Powerstar in the shoes of Angry Young Man Amitabh Bachchan very soon.
