This is how new Rs 200 Note lookslike!
By: Tupaki Desk | 24 Aug 2017 8:59 AM GMTReserve Bank of India (RBI) is bridging the gap between Lower & Higher Denomination Currencies with the introduction of Rs 200 Notes into the Banking System. Rs 200 currency notes in the Mahatma Gandhi (New) Series, bearing the signature of RBI Governor Urjit Patel will be rolled out on August 25th, 2017.
The above picture gives a clarity on how Rs 200 denomination notes gonna look like. Bright Yellow Coloured Notes bear the picture of Mahatma Gandhi on the front and Sanchi Stupa on the back.
After the scrapping of Rs 1000 notes and introduction of Rs 2000 notes, Traders and Consumers found it really difficult to handle the situation. Finally, RBI decided to introduce Rs 200 denominations after months of dilly-dallying. Whether RBI slow downs the printing of Rs 100 notes or any other denominations by focusing on Rs 200 notes is still a million dollar question.
