Telangana state joined the list of states like Andhra Pradesh, Maharashtra, Karnataka, and Chattisgarh and decided to reopen the liquor outlets in the state. With this, the liquor lovers queued up at the shops violating the social distancing norms as the people stood in the queue very closely.

Following this, the Andhra Pradesh government headed by Chief Minister YS Jagan Mohan Reddy imposed another rule for the liquor lovers and said that along with the face mask, an umbrella is also mandatory.

This rule will force the people to maintain social distance in the queue at the liquor outlets. The rule was imposed in Tenali of Guntur and people are appreciating the rule imposed by the government.

The COVID 19 cases in the state stood at 1,717 with the 60 fresh cases reported in the state in the past 24 hours. These 60 positive cases were recorded from the 7,782 samples tested in the past 24 hours
