New Year Eve: Rs 150 crore spent on Liquor in AP!

Rs 150 crore has been spent on Liquor in Andhra Pradesh alone on the New Year Eve. This include sales on December 31st and January 1st. In places like Vizag, Vijayawada and Guntur, Liquor revenues are at an all time high. Excise Department confirms the reports of over Rs 150 crore spent on alcohol in the last two days.
Last Year, The total revenue in United AP through liquor sales on New Year eve is anywhere around Rs 200 crore.
As per statistics, Liquor Sales in 13 Districts of AP will be around Rs 700 crore per Month. In the last two days, The sales were 11 times higher than what it used to be on normal days.
This year, AP Government is aiming a revenue of Rs 15,000 through liquor sale. But, The actual figures could be higher than the estimates!
