Why NZ denied Visas to Thousands of Indian Students?

New Zealand Immigration Authorities rejected the Visa applications moved by thousands of Indian students. This move is a step towards curbing fraudulent activities related to Immigration.
As per records, Over 30% Visa applications filed by Indian Students between the period December last year to May this year have been turned down. Majority of these Visa applications were related to 51 Educational Institutions. About 3,176 visa applications filed by Polytechnics faced rejection.
New Zealand's Immigration Department cites poor financial background of the Applicants and their hidden intentions as the reason behind the denial of Visas. The Authorities believe most of Students haven't been serious about higher studies in New Zealand and some of them don't even have financial back-up to help them complete their course.
