NHRC Heads To Hyderabad To Investigate Encounter Case
By: Tupaki Desk | 7 Dec 2019 10:11 AM GMTWhile the entire nation has hailed the Telangana government and Telangana police for the encounter of the culprits in the brutal gang-rape and murder of the 26-year-old veterinarian Disha. The same news did not go well with some sections like the National Human Rights Commission(NHRC).
Members of the NHRC have reached out to Hyderabad to conduct a comprehensive investigation on the encounter of the culprits in Disha's case.
The members have reached to Hyderabad from Delhi and headed to the encounter spot without much delay. They are likely to observe the whole spot and have a word with the higher authorities. They will also meet the constables who were injured in the encounter who are undergoing treatment in the Care hospital.
After investigating the crime spot the members will head to Mahabubnagar and observe the dead bodies of the culprits. They will look into the details like who is involved in this encounter and what time the culprits were brought to the crime scene. The High Court has said rituals of the bodies should be done only after the investigation.
Interestingly a case has been filed against police on this encounter. The case was filed following the instructions of ACP Surender Rao, who is rendering his services as the investigating officer in the case.
