It's A Conspiracy To Kill YS Jagan: NIA
By: Tupaki Desk | 31 Jan 2019 8:25 AM GMTNational Investigation Agency (NIA) made it clear that attack on YS Jaganmohan Reddy at the Visakha Airport is a pre-planned murder attempt. The Central Agency opined, 'It could have resulted in a murder had if it wasn't a failed attempt. This is why AP Police registered murder attempt case under Section 307 of IPC'.
NIA clarified violence in Airports, particularly causing harm to anyone using a weapon, falls under Civil Aviation Act. The Agency complained about the non-cooperation from the AP Police inspite of receiving directions from the court. NIA appealed High Court to quash the petition moved by the State Government against the probe conducted by it.
AP Home Department Chief Secretary AR Anuradha moved a petition in High Court challenging the orders issued by Union Home Minister asking NIA to take up Jagan attack case. Justice Shyam Prasad asked Centre and NIA to file a counter on the petition moved by AP Government. Counters were filed by the Union Government and NIA on Wednesday. Following which, SGP D Ramesh sought time to file an affidavit on behalf of government. Justice adjourned the next hearing till February 12th.
