CM's Son Blames Himself For His Defeat

Sumalatha defeated Karnataka CM Nikhil Kumar Gowda in Mandya Constituency during 2019 Lok Sabha Polls. Actually, JDS won all the eight MLA Seats in Mandya Parliament Segment during 2018 Assembly Polls. Inspite of JD (S)-Congress having over 80 percent vote share, Sumalatha emerged victorious and became the first Independent since 52 years to do so.
Nikhil Kumar congratulated Sumalatha for achieving a memorable victory. He claimed to be willing to join hands with anyone for the development of Mandya constituency.
Interestingly, Nikhil took complete responsibility for his defeat in the Lok Sabha Polls. 'If anyone has to be blamed for the result, It has to be Me not MLAs, MLCs, CM, JD (S) Supremo Deve Gowda. I apologise to My Karyakartas for disappointing a lot of them because people have rejected not anyone else. Congress-JD (S) Government allotted Rs 8,671 crore to Mandya District in this year's budget. Thanks to 5,76,400 voters who supported Me. Technically, I might have lost the election but gained a lot during the whole journey'.
Nikhil also wished Sumalatha's Son Abhishek Gowda a great success for his debut flick 'Amar' which released Today. He claimed to be a person who value relationships more than anything else.
