Andhra Pradesh's State Election Commissioner(SEC) Nimmagadda Ramesh Kumar is all set to retire from his position on the 31st of this month. However, his faceoff with the Andhra Pradesh government continues.

Nimmagadda Ramesh Kumar knocked on the doors of the Andhra Pradesh High Court over leakage of confidential information from the State Governor's office. He filed a petition in the High Court.

According to the media reports, he moved the court over the leakage of confidential and crucial information, his letters to Governor Biswa Bhusan Harichandan, including letters pertaining to his holidays.

Nimmagadda Ramesh Kumar sought directives from the High Court for CBI investigation in this case. He also requested the Court to make Governor's Secretary, Government's Chief Secretary, Ministers Peddireddy Ramachandra Reddy, and Botsa Satyanarayana as defendants in this case.

The fresh development came after Nimmagadda Ramesh Kumar gave his response to the Privileges Committee claiming that he doesn't come under the purview of the panel. The High Court is expected to hear the petition of SEC today.
