By: Tupaki Desk | 1 Feb 2021 9:57 AM GMTThe tussle between Andhra Pradesh Panchayat Raj Department and State Election Commissioner(sec) Nimmagadda Ramesh Kumar over the Local Body Polls 2021 continues.
AP Panchayat Raj Department has once again faced flak from the SEC one again. This is not the first time, Nimmagadda Ramesh Kumar found fault with the Panchayat Raj Department.
This time, SEC slammed the Panchayat Raj Department for not implementing the orders, he issued for the Local Body Polls. He questioned why the department failed to follow the rules.
It is already known that to counter winning the Panchayats unanimously, the SEC has paved way for accepting the nominations for the election nominations online for the polls.
However, Nimmagadda Ramesh Kumar alleged that the Panchayat Raj Department didn’t implement his orders on the elections and the Department has not accepted the nominations online.
SEC has even directed Panchayat Raj Principal Secretary Gopal Krishna Dwivedi and Commissioner M Girija Shankar to meet him at his office and give an explanation on why the nominations were not accepted online.
Earlier, Nimmagadda censured two top Panchayat Raj department officials by calling them unsuited to work in the office.
