Cockfights are the first thing that comes to mind if the topic is about Sankranthi season. Not only from Telangana, People from neighboring States visit Andhra during this festival period for betting on their favourite roosters.
Since few years, It has become regular practice that permission was granted for a 3-day period violating the court order. This time, State Government decided to offer its consent much in advance. May be, This could be due to the Jallikattu affect!
