Nine MLCs become jobless in Telangana

The number of disgruntled people is growing in the TRS by each passing day. In the filling of the MLC vacancies, the ruling TRS has done several permutations and combinations, but several leaders will be without any position of power. This is giving rise to several disgruntled leaders, who will become powerless.

There would be elections to 19 seats. Of them, six are from the MLA quota MLCs, 12 are local body MLAs, one from the governor quota. Thus four from the MLA quota and five from the local body constituency quota are without any position of power.

Deputy chairperson of the council Neti Vidyasagar, former minister Fariduddin, Akula Lalitha and Bodakunti Venkateswarlu would be without MLC post. Despite their best efforts, they could not get renominated. Similarly, Puranam Satish of Adilabad, Naradasu Lakshman Rao of Karimnagar, Bhupal Reddy of Medak district, Tera Chennappa Reddy of Nalgonda and Balasani Lakshminarayana of Khammam district have been denied an extension. Thus these leaders too are without any position of power.

As of now, all these leaders are silent. They are bearing it with a grin. But what if they do not get any post of importance? How many of them will remain quiet for long? Will the Congress and the BjP approach them and lure them into their parties? Let’s wait and see.
