All the four convicts in the infamous Nirbhaya case of brutal gang rape and murder have spent an anxious night hours before they were hanged at 5:50 am tomorrow at the Delhi's Tihar Jail. The Tihar Jail authorities have not allowed the convicts to meet each other though they wished to.

A close circle of the Tihar prison stated that around Thursday midnight, hangman Pawan Jallad who hails from Meerut of UP had a look at the four convicts in the case whom he has to execute in hours.

Though Akshay, one of the convicts in case want to meet fellow convict Mukesh, he was not permitted to do so. But Akshay happened to see hangman Pawan, who was there to catch a glimpse of the convicts' in the case.

With advocate AP Singh, who represents the convicts in the case not leaving any stones unturned to save them from the death row, the four convicts did not sleep with a hope that they might get escape from being executed.

The supreme court made way for the execution at 3.30 a.m. after quashing the petition filed by advocate A.P Singh.

With the execution time nearing the paramilitary personnel was deployed outside the Tihar Jail where the convicts were executed to make sure that no violent events erupt.

The timeline of the execution is as follows, at 4 a.m., the convicts were asked to have a bath and get ready for the execution. After 15 minutes, i.e, 4.15 a.m they were given some time to read any religious scripture if they want to but none of them did so.

After serving them breakfast for the last time, at 4.30 a.m., the convicts took a long walk to the hanging area as per the rules. Post medical check-up they were declared fit to get hanged.

They were hanged at 5: 30 am and after the execution, the bodies remained untouched for half-an-hour and at 6.a.m, the bodies were taken down, upon doctor present at the scene declared them dead.
