After a long fight of 7 years, India's daughter Nirbhaya finally got justice with all the four convicts in the Nirbhaya gang rape and murder case getting hanged at 5.30 am in Delhi's Tihar Jail.

The infamous case which has shaken the entire country has tested the patience of the public of the country with the continuous postponement of the death sentence.

After the death sentence Nirbhaya's mother, Asha Devi who fought very strong for justice said that all the women can definitely feel safer now. "We will request the Supreme Court to issue guidelines so that no one can adopt delaying tactics in such cases in future," she said.

"We appeal for observing this day as Nirbhaya 'Nyay Diwas' (day of justice)," Nirbhaya's father said.

Minutes, after a city court refused to issue a stay on the hanging of the four convicts in the infamous Nirbhaya case, the senior prison officers of Tihar Jail, have started to prep for the execution of them.

At exactly 5.30 am on Friday, the four men—Mukesh Singh, Akshay Thakur, Pawan Gupta, and Vinay Sharma—were hanged simultaneously inside jail number 3.

On Thursday evening, the jail officers along with the hangman Pawan Jallad inspected the hanging courtyard for the final time before the execution. The 10 pieces of rope that were brought from Buxar, Bihar, and tied to the beams at the gallows were checked. The rope has been dipped in butter or wax by prisoners of Buxar Jail and is prepared in such a way that it does not decapitate convicts during the hanging. The lever was also checked by performing a dummy hanging using a sandbag.

"They are yet to tell us about their wills. They look nervous and are anxious, but have not told us anything. Maybe they have realized that they have exhausted all legalities," the prison officer said.
