Kavitha's Move Backfires In Varanasi
By: Tupaki Desk | 26 April 2019 6:36 AM GMTBJP top brass reportedly took a serious view of Nizamabad MP Kalwakuntla Kavitha to put up scores of farmers as candidates from Varanasi. They are said to be watching Kavitha's moves carefully and once the elections are over, they might make moves that would put her on the mat.
In fact, the turmeric farmers of Nizamabad are angry and sore with Kavitha for doing nothing on setting up the turmeric board in the district. Congress exploited this and made the farmers put up as many candidates as possible. As a result, the EC had to make special arrangements for polling in NIzamabad. But, Kavitha wants to deflect the criticism by making farmers file their nominations in Varanasi. She hoped to divert the issue.
But, sensing this, the BJP has, through its candidate from Nizamabad LS seat, Dharmapuri Aravind, shown that the candidates who filed their nominations in Nizamabad were different from those trying to file nominations in Varanasi. They have also furnished evidences to show that those filing nominations are actually TRS cadre. The TRS leadership was rattled by their best laid plan going away. Suddenly, there is no talk of nominations and turmeric board. Amit Shah, it is being said, has not taken kindly to this act of TRS MP. It is being said that the BJP is planning for a counter move once the elections are over.
