No CAA Reference In T Governors Address
X
One significant thing noted in the Governor's address to the Telangana Assembly is that there is no mention of the Citizenship Amendment Act (CAA) in the whole speech. This is being seen as an important development as there were reports that KCR might want the governor to mention CAA in her speech and that Governor Tamilisai Saundararajan being adamant about not reading those portions.

But, both the leaders realised that this would only lead to unnecessary friction and no purpose would be achieved by this. So, a clever KCR has ensured that there would be no references to the CAA, NRC or NPR in the Governor's speech. In return, the governor would sing paeons to the KCR model of governance. KCR has ensured that despite their perceptive differences, the two leaders sing each other's praise and avoid contentious issues.

However, the KCR government might introduce a resolution opposing the CAA at a later stage during this session. The bill will be passed given the massive mandate the TRS has in the assembly. The MIM too will support the resolution.
