No cases against Ajit Pawar not removed
By: Tupaki Desk | 30 Nov 2019 4:26 AM GMTHereâs the real shocker. We all believed that the cases against NCP leader Ajit Pawar, who briefly joined hands with the BJP in Maharashtra, were removed and that he was given a clean chit in the Rs 70000 crore irrigation scam in the state. That was what the media peddled. The Shiv Sena had even gone to the Supreme Court questioning the decision of the Central Government.
But, now it turns out that no such clean chit was ever given to Ajit Pawar. Union Home Minister Amit Shah has clarified that the cases against Ajit Pawar have not been dropped and he has not been given any clean chit in the rs 70000 crore irrigation scam. Shahâs clarification has shown that Ajit Pawar still faces these cases. So, the media reports saying that the cases were lifted was , after all, false.
Ajit Pawar has extended support to the BJP in Maharashtra. But, with most of his supporters backing off, he had to retrace his steps and go back to the Nationalist Congress Party. NCP chief Sharad Pawar, who is his paternal uncle, forgave him and took him back into the party. Now, he is part of the Shiv Sena-led Government in Maharashtra.
