No Cooking & Puja between 9 AM to 6 PM!

Due to the rise in number of fire mishaps due to soaring temperatures, Bihar Chief Minister Nitish Kumar ordered Officials to issue an advisory asking people not to cook and perform puja between 9 AM to 6 PM.
CM took the call while holding a review meeting over the fire mishaps in six districts in Patna division. While Principal Secretary (Disaster Management) was instructed to issue an advisory urging people of state not to light fire for 9 hours in the day, Power Secretary was directed to replace the electricity wires in poor condition to avoid fire accidents. CM also directed the officials to purchase the additional fire equipment as soon as possible.
Apart from taking preventive measures, Nitish Kumar ordered Officials to extent compensation to the families of fire mishap victims. He even asked the Government machinery to supply drinking water to drought-hit areas through tankers during the Summer season.
