No escape for TDP firebrand as Privileges Committee takes a serious view

There appears to be no escape from punishment for former TDP MLA Kuna Ravikumar. Kuna, who made abusive remarks against Speaker Tammineni Sitaram, is now running for cover. The Privileges Committee of the AP Assembly is now conducting a hearing over his comments.
Kuna is known to be quite abusive and has a record of physically attacking rivals. Several of his videos, where he is seen assaulting government officials, are already viral on social media. In the same manner, he abused and hurled invectives against Tammineni.
The speaker promptly lodged a complaint with the Privileges Committee. Though the committee summoned him twice in the past Kuna refused to hour them. But, on Friday, he had to present himself before the committee.
The members of the committee have felt that the former MLA was trying to act smart by diverting the topic. They have now decided to recommend action against Kuna. It is said that the committee's decision is final and even courts cannot intervene in this. Sources say that the committee is planning to recommend jail term for Kuna Ravi Kumar.
