No Flat for Her as SHE is a Muslim!

Misbah Quadri always believed a cosmopolitan city like Mumbai would always treat her better after being hrown up in Gujarat post 2002 riots. However, She got a rude shock when people kept denying a flat to her just because she is a Muslim.
Recently, The 25-Year-Old planned to shift to a 3-BKH Apartment at Sanghvi Heights in Wadala along with her two new friends (Hindus) whom she came to know through Facebook. Just when she was planning to shift, Quadri received a call from Broker saying that the housing society refused to allow Muslim tenants. The Only Choice: She was asked to sign a no-objection certificate stating that the builder/owner/broker willn't be responsible if she faced any kind of harassment from the neighbours due to her religion.
Quadri, however, refused to accept the condition but moved in as the notice period at her previous flat expired and her two friends extended support to her. In just one week, She received a call from the agent who threatened to call the cops to seen her vacate the flat. Quadri was forced to vacate the flat and even her two friends weren't spared as they gave shelter to a Muslim.
Now, Misbah Quadri approached National Human Rights Commission (NHRC) seeking justice.
