No Further action on TDP leader says High Court!
By: Tupaki Desk | 24 Feb 2022 5:50 PM ISTFinding fault with the cases that were filed against him, senior Telugu Desam Party leader and former Minister Chintakayala Ayyanna Patrudu had knocked on the doors of the Andhra Pradesh High Court. He sought directives to cancel the case that was filed against him.
Hearing a quash petition, the High Court issued interim orders to not take any further action on the TDP leader until further notice. In the petition, the former Minister had alleged that the government is trying to arrest him by filing false cases. Now he got a big relief from the case.
The case that was filed against him traces back where he is said to have made objectionable comments against Andhra Pradesh Chief Minister YS Jagan Mohan Reddy. On the same grounds, a case was filed and the cops are after him to arrest.
The Nallajerla police reached his house earlier today reportedly to take him into custody. The other day, they sent a notice saying that they want to arrest him. With Patrudu not present at his residence, when they reached there they had stuck the notice.
It is said that the cops reached his residence for the second consecutive day too. The cops were reportedly deployed outside his residence. This led to a tense situation with the TDP cadre and activists too reaching the spot.
