No majority for TRS in today election

The battle has finally begun and it starts with Telangana. More than 3 crore voters of 10 districts of Telangana will cast their vote in this first phase of polling. The polling is conducted for the 119 Assembly and 17 Lok Sabha constituencies.
According to the election commission there are 265 candidates vying for Parliamentary segments while 1,669 are for Assembly. According to recent surveys, there would be a hung assembly in Telangana , which is going for polls today.
Both, TRS and Congress unlikely to get a majority on their own .According to highly placed sources the two major parties in Telangana may stitch up an alliance to form a ‘stable’ government post elections. TRS may seek the support of MIM and independents if it needs only a few seats to touch the magic figure of 60.
This general election is to be marked in the history as it is the first poll to the new state of Telangana. The polling will commence at 7 am and continues till 6 pm and when there is any rush even at 6 pm the hours will be extended.
