No need to Play if India don't want: Afridi
By: Tupaki Desk | 18 Sep 2015 3:08 PM GMTPakistan T20 Skipper Shahid Afridi on Friday advised his country's cricket board to stop trying to convince India play a Test & ODI Series. He claims to have not understood why Pak board is pushing so hard for series against India. "I don't see any reason to play against India if they don't want to play," he said.
Apparently, Pakistan Cricket Board is waiting for the nod of BCCI for the Test and ODIs between India and Pakistan at United Arab Emirates in December this year. However, BCCI isn't in a position to give its consent in the wake of recent terror attacks in India by Pak militants.
Earlier, Cricket Boards of both the countries have signed an agreement to play at least six times between 2015-2023. Now, BCCI is waiting for the approval of Union Government to offer green signal for the India-Pak series. Chances look bleak as of now and hundreds of violations of ceasefire at the boarder by Pakistan is to be blamed for this unhealthy situation.
