Director of Public Health & Family Welfare Dr. G Srinivasa Rao of Telangana state had come up with a piece of good news for the people of the state. When other states are struggling with the sudden spike in casualties and infections, the 29th state of the country has made wonders.

As a sensational development, Telangana Health Director said that there is no third wave of the Covid virus in the state and it came to an end. He made these statements while addressing the media on Tuesday on the Covid situation in the state.

During the same, the state health director had expressed his happiness over Telangana beating the third wave and coming out of the threat in less number of days. Having said that, he had appealed to the public of the state to not take the virus for granted and urged them to continue following the Covid protocols.

Telling the media that the Covid situation has come under control in the state, the health director said that people can continue to go to offices and colleges like earlier. However, he asked them to continue the protocols.

Giving details on how the state beat the third wave, the health director had credited the measures taken by the state government, including the mass vaccination numbers. Despite the rise in fresh Covid cases, the positivity is very less. At present, the positivity rate is just 2 percent, he said.

The first wave in Telangana lasted for ten months and the second wave went on for six months. But the third wave had lasted for just three months. The fever survey carried out by the government came in handy, he said.

He went on to say that restrictions are not in place in the state anymore. Talking about the new variants, the health director said that there is nothing to worry about even though new variants emerge as the state has all the facilities to tackle the possible new variants.

He added that the IT Employees and other employees need not continue to work from home and they can go to the office as the state economy has to progress.
