No Direct Legal Heirs for Jayalalithaa!
By: Tupaki Desk | 7 Jan 2018 5:14 AM GMTChennai District Collector V Anbuselvan declared former Tamil Nadu chief minister late Jayalalithaa doesn't have direct legal heirs. He made this comment while responding to the heirship claim by Jayalalithaa's niece Deepa Jayakumar.
Mr.Anbuselvan opined Tamil Nadu Government willn't face any problem from Deepa Jayakumar and Deepak Jayakumar to acquire Jayalalithaa's residence Veda Nilayam in Poes Garden. When AIADMK Govt proposed the conversion of Veda Nilayam into Jayalalithaa's memorial, Deepa Jayakumar made it clear nobody can acquire the property without the consent of legal heirs. Then, CM Palanisamy assured Family Members will be duly compensated. But now, There is every possibility of State Government denying any compensation for either Deepa or Deepak.
Collector Anbuselvan begun the process of land acquisition of Veda Nilayam, 81, Poes Garden property. Inspection of the property and measurements have been taken by the revenue department. It's up to AIADMK Govt to decide whether or not compensation can be offered to legal heirs Deepa and Deepak. What about Bengaluru-based Amrutha who claims to be the daughter of Jayalalithaa and Sobhan Babu?
